Information Needed for Inquiry or Order.
TYPE OF MATERIAL: Alloy applicable specifications- SAE,
AMS, ASTM, etc., whenever possible.
SIZE AND SECTION: Flat wire-gauge and width by decimal; show
tolerances for both. Round wire-diameter by decimal; show allowable
tolerances.
EDGE: Round, square, broken corner, etc.
SPECIAL SHAPES: Send print, sketch, give diagonals of rectangles,
radii of corners, etc. Whenever possible, send sample of material
desired.
CONDITION OF TEMPER: Define mechanical properties, ie. tensile
strength, Rockwell hardness, type of annealing, etc. Max. and min.
limits should be furnished when possible.
FINISH: Bare or plated (Tin-and degree of brightness,etc.)
END USE: Get the best possible product for application by
describing end product, such as, spring or fastener.
PACKAGING: Give approximate size and weight of coil, spool
or reel. Give length of wire to be straightened and cut with allowable
tolerance. Orders are made to customers specifications.
